Discipline Is the Surest Way to Academic Success7

Have you ever imagined a parent paying a huge amount of money for his or her  ward to go to school only for the ward to come back home  with poor grades at the end of the term because she or he has not been paying attention in class or has been avoiding classes altogether? Certainly, obtaining good grades in school comes at a price-- discipline and hard work.

In the first place, undisciplined students behave poorly towards their academic work, and in the end perform poorly in class exercises and examinations. For example, students who loiter about during class hours, instead of staying in class to study or take their lessons usually become anxious during examination, as they are not adequately prepared. This can lead to poor performance.

Reading and listening to the life stories of all great men and women in the country, it is clear that the combination of hard work and discipline are what made them succeed in school and in their various careers. For four consecutive years, as an auxiliary award, Preset Pacesetters won the Best-behaved School at the annual Art Center-Sankofa Senior High School Drama Competition. And, I am proud to be a student of a school that places emphasis on student discipline. 

Academic success is the dream of not only every student but also every parent and every teacher. If academic success is linked to one’s level of discipline, then parents, teachers, students and school authorities must continue to work together to ensure the maintenance of disincline at all times.
